Comic Andy Dick arrested on suspicion of sexual battery in California

Comedian Andy Dick was arrested Wednesday at a campground in Orange County, California, on suspicion of sexual battery, authorities stated.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Division responded to O’Neill Regional Park round 9 a.m. after the grownup male victim referred to as authorities a few attainable sexual assault, mentioned Sgt. Scott Steinle, a sheriff’s spokesman.

Dick, 56, was arrested on suspicion of felony sexual battery, Steinle stated.

The sheriff’s department wouldn't provide extra details in regards to the nature of the allegations.

The Orange County District Legal professional’s Office had not acquired the case Wednesday and has not made a charging determination, spokeswoman Kimberly Edds stated.

Deputies responded to a campground area of the 4,500-acre park close to the Santa Ana Mountains in Southern California, the place they met the victim and finally arrested Dick, Steinle stated.

Dick was being held in lieu of $25,000 bail Wednesday, in line with jail information. It was not immediately clear whether or not he had an lawyer who might communicate on his behalf within the incident.

An individual who has been Dick’s manager did not reply to a request for remark.

Dick was accused of groping a male ride-share driver in West Hollywood in 2018 and charged the next 12 months with misdemeanor sexual battery.

Dick has pleaded not guilty, and the case is set for trial, said his lawyer in that matter, Daniel Kapelovitz. Kapelovitz stated he doesn't represent Dick in Wednesday’s incident and had not spoken to him.
