EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Police say they arrested a driver who was 3.5 instances the legal alcohol limit after a minimum of 5 individuals called 911.
Officers say the calls started coming in round 4:40 p.m. Monday.
They are saying witnesses reported seeing a SUV hit the median of the Lloyd Expressway near the Predominant Street exit. They say the crash brought on a flat tire and the car to smoke, but the driver stored going.
Other callers say the motive force was all around the road and now lacking a front tire.
They say he eventually stopped at a automobile dealership and appeared “tremendous drunk.”
Staff told police the motive force, 30-year-old Jordon Mattingly, was making an attempt to promote his SUV.
Police say he had swelling and scratches as if he had simply been in a crash.
They are saying Mattingly smelled of alcohol and almost fell several occasions. Officers say he tested .291 on a transportable breath take a look at.
Police say inside his SUV, they discovered Four Loko cans and a can of White Claw.
Mattingly is dealing with several costs.
He's the son of the manager for the Miami Marlins and former skilled baseball player, Don Mattingly.
