TAMPA, Fla. — A Florida man has been sentenced to life in prison for touring to Vietnam to sexually abuse minors he met on-line, according to officials.

The U.S. Division of Justice says Christopher Edwin Day, 52, traveled two different times in 2015 and 2016 to Vietnam from Florida to have sexual encounters with minor Vietnamese boys. Courtroom data say he flew forwards and backwards disguising himself as an English trainer.
A number of the boys, in accordance with the DOJ, had been lured with promises of money and gifts. Others launched him as their English trainer.
The Tampa Bay Information says Homeland Security investigated the case in Tampa and in Ho Chi Minh City. It was a part of Mission Safe Childhood, which was an effort to find child intercourse abuse started in 2006 by the DOJ.
“The laws of the United States will still catch as much as baby predators who even journey to foreign nations to sexually abuse minor youngsters.
