Florida man will get life in prison for traveling to Vietnam to sexually abuse minors – WFTV

TAMPA, Fla. — A Florida man has been sentenced to life in jail for traveling to Vietnam to sexually abuse minors he met on-line, in keeping with officers.

The U.S. Department of Justice says Christopher Edwin Day, 52, traveled two different instances in 2015 and 2016 to Vietnam from Florida to have sexual encounters with minor Vietnamese boys. Courtroom records say he flew forwards and backwards disguising himself as an English teacher.

Some of the boys, in accordance with the DOJ, were lured with guarantees of money and items. Others introduced him as their English trainer.

The Tampa Bay News says Homeland Safety investigated the case in Tampa and in Ho Chi Minh City. It was a part of Undertaking Secure Childhood, which was an effort to search out little one sex abuse started in 2006 by the DOJ.
