TAMPA, Fla. — A Florida man has been sentenced to life in jail for traveling to Vietnam to sexually abuse minors he met on-line, in keeping with officials.

The U.S. Department of Justice says Christopher Edwin Day, 52, traveled two completely different times in 2015 and 2016 to Vietnam from Florida to have sexual encounters with minor Vietnamese boys. Court records say he flew forwards and backwards disguising himself as an English instructor.
A number of the boys, in keeping with the DOJ, were lured with promises of cash and gifts. Others introduced him as their English instructor.
The Tampa Bay Information says Homeland Security investigated the case in Tampa and in Ho Chi Minh Metropolis. It was part of Venture Secure Childhood, which was an effort to seek out little one intercourse abuse began in 2006 by the DOJ.
“The laws of the US will still catch up to child predators who even journey to international nations to sexually abuse minor kids. Day pleaded responsible to 2 counts of journey with intent to engage in illicit sexual conduct and two counts of tried coercion and enticement of a minor into illegal sexual activity, according to the DOJ. Day has been sentenced to life in prison.
