Investigators imagine Mtula Payton was one of many alleged gang members who opened fire in downtown Sacramento on April 3. He was taken into custody at an residence advanced, the Sacramento Police Division said in a statement Saturday night.

Payton and two others, brothers Smiley Martin and Dandrae Martin, have been charged this month with murder within the slayings, in addition to weapons offenses.
