  1. hate to say that i know this fact but… the “apron” is the peen. saw on tiktok that you can rub the apron for a few seconds for the crab to go to sleep. just like humans

  2. as a marylander from chesapeake beach…. that is not how you eat a blue crab.. dont need all of those tools except a hammer, knife, and your mouth lol

  3. Just out of curiosity, why didn't you keep/remove the tomalley (head butter) from the lobsters? You kept it in the crab but not the lobster.

  4. Nope, opening oysters that way is the hardest way, opening from the side next to the muscle is easier and faster, watch the guys on the Paris stalls. Who ever manually opened razor clams ! that’s just crazy, steam them open and eat them ! the same with cockles but very gently.

  5. i'm curious i've heard and seen online you should cook a lobster alive to avoid food poisoning but does that honestly matter if you kill it right before you put it into the boiling water?

  6. I'm really rewatching this video after I've seen it twice already. and I don't even prepare these kinds of things… tf is wrong with me xd

  7. Man I'd rate your blue crab picking a 4 out of 10…use the apron to pull the top shell off and usually the guts will come with it…I'm from MD btw plenty of crab pots usually eat them everyday during season
