BARNSTEAD, N.H. -- A person was arrested Friday after multiple signs saying "college shooter" had been present in Barnstead, Epsom, and Pittsfield, New Hampshire, the state's Division of Security introduced. Guy Hanson, 61, of Pittsfield, faces multiple expenses.

An increased quantity of police officers had been positioned at faculties in the communities as a result of the signs. Multiple colleges initiated lockdowns as a precaution shortly after.

Hanson allegedly positioned the indicators across the communities, the Division of Safety mentioned, however they determined there is no credible threat at the moment.

One such signal was written on a paper plate. The security division launched a photograph of the plate but blurred a part of it "to guard the integrity of the investigation." 

Hanson was arrested on a felony cost of legal threatening and three misdemeanor costs including false report to legislation enforcement, false public alarm and felony threatening. He's being held in Merrimack County Jail pending a hearing scheduled for Tuesday.

No other suspects have been charged at the moment.
