BARNSTEAD, N.H. -- A person was arrested Friday after multiple signs saying "faculty shooter" had been present in Barnstead, Epsom, and Pittsfield, New Hampshire, the state's Division of Security introduced. Man Hanson, 61, of Pittsfield, faces multiple prices.
Man Hanson. New Hampshire State PoliceAn increased amount of law enforcement officials were placed at schools within the communities as a result of the signs. A number of faculties initiated lockdowns as a precaution shortly after.
Hanson allegedly placed the indicators across the communities, the Department of Security stated, but they decided there isn't a credible threat presently.
The New Hampshire Division of Safety is investigating indicators that read 'school shooter!' which have been present in a number of communities New Hampshire Department of SafetyOne such signal was written on a paper plate. The security division launched a photo of the plate however blurred part of it "to protect the integrity of the investigation."
Hanson was arrested on a felony cost of prison threatening and three misdemeanor expenses together with false report to legislation enforcement, false public alarm and prison threatening. He is being held in Merrimack County Jail pending a hearing scheduled for Tuesday.
No other suspects have been charged at this time.
