Between July and August 2019, sex worker Angelina Barini met along with her shoppers at motels in New York Metropolis before giving them dangerous doses of drugs that incapacitated them. Then, she would rob the lads and go away with their personal belongings.

4 of them, together with a distinguished Italian chef, died of overdoses from the medicine, court records state.

In August, Barini pleaded responsible to distributing medicine that killed her shoppers, together with fentanyl and gamma-butyrolactone, known for inflicting irrational habits, extreme illness, coma and demise.

Last week, a judge sentenced the 43-year-old Barini to 30 years in jail.

“The defendant drugged and killed a number of folks for a couple of quick dollars,” Breon Peace, the U.S. legal professional for the Japanese District of New York, stated in a news launch. “She stole their private belongings whereas they lay unconscious dying from the lethal medication she gave them.”

Attorneys representing Barini did not respond to a message from The Washington Post.

Barini met her first victim at a motel in Astoria, Queens, on July 4, 2019. There, she gave the man fentanyl-laced medication and left the room. Police found him useless hours later, courtroom data state.

A week later, on July 11, Barini had an encounter with one other man at a motel in Woodside, Queens, where she gave him fentanyl-laced drugs. The man also died of a drug overdose, a complaint states.

The next month, on Aug. 5, Barini met her third victim in College Point, Queens, and once more gave him fentanyl-laced drugs that led to a deadly overdose, prosecutors stated.

Later that month, on Aug. 18, Barini met her last known victim, Andrea Zamperoni — a chef for the high-end restaurant chain Cipriani — inside an Elmhurst, Queens, motel room, where she drugged him with gamma-butyrolactone, commonly referred to as a “date rape” drug. The person died shortly afterward.

That day, court data state, Barini repeatedly tried to get rid of the sufferer’s physique. Barini wrapped Zamperoni’s physique in bleach-stained sheets and positioned it inside a trash bin, in line with prosecutors. Zamperoni was reported lacking on Aug. 21, prosecutors mentioned. That same day, the New York City Police Department found the man’s physique within the motel room.

In line with courtroom records, when authorities knocked on the room’s door, Barini opened and swiftly shut it. As soon as investigators made it into the room, they observed a powerful odor — that of a decomposing body and burning incense, the criticism states.

Barini informed investigators that “she did not do it,” but also that her “pimp” made her do it. Contained in the motel room, authorities discovered several gadgets, together with a credit card belonging to Zamperoni and a glass pipe used to smoke medication, court data state.

When authorities later interrogated her, Barini said Zamperoni had agreed to pay her for intercourse. When she wakened, Barini stated, he was unresponsive and bleeding from the nose and mouth. Her pimp, she added, would not let her call the police.

Fernando Dallorso, the general manager of Cipriani in New York, advised the New York Instances that Zamperoni was a “dedicated laborious employee” who cooked six days a week and “by no means missed a day of labor.”

The kitchen workers mourned the loss, Dallorso instructed the Times.

“Everybody within the kitchen proper now's heartbroken, from the dishwasher to the chef,” Dallorso stated.
