Teen arrested after mother noticed son had gun at Texas faculty drop-off

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD/Gray News) - A number of companies responded to a center college in Texas Friday morning after an adolescent’s mom noticed he was carrying a gun.
Police in Lubbock tell KCBD a mom was dropping off her 15-year-old son at O.L. Slaton Middle School around 9 a.m. when she seen the firearm. The teen never made it inside the constructing, and he ran from the college.
The Lubbock Police Division responded to the area together with several different businesses in an attempt to seek out him.
The teen was discovered close to the school’s campus and brought into custody.
Authorities mentioned the 15-year-old might be dealing with a felony weapons charge.
Police say there was no menace made to the varsity or anybody inside the varsity.
O.L. Slaton Center Faculty was briefly positioned on lockout because of the incident.
