Teen arrested after mom seen son had gun at Texas school drop-off

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD/Gray News) - A number of companies responded to a center faculty in Texas Friday morning after an adolescent’s mother seen he was carrying a gun.
Police in Lubbock tell KCBD a mom was dropping off her 15-year-old son at O.L. Slaton Center Faculty round 9 a.m. when she observed the firearm. The teenager by no means made it inside the building, and he ran from the school.
The Lubbock Police Division responded to the realm along with a number of other businesses in an attempt to seek out him.
The teenager was discovered near the varsity’s campus and taken into custody.
Authorities said the 15-year-old may very well be going through a felony weapons cost.
Police say there was no menace made to the college or anyone inside the college.
O.L. Slaton Middle College was briefly placed on lockout because of the incident.
