Uvalde police, school district now not cooperating with Texas probe of capturing: Sources

The Uvalde Police Division and the Uvalde Independent College District police drive are no longer cooperating with the Texas Department of Public Safety's investigation into the massacre at Robb Elementary Faculty and the state's evaluation of the regulation enforcement response, multiple regulation enforcement sources inform ABC Information.

The Uvalde police chief and a spokesperson for the Uvalde Independent Faculty District didn't instantly respond to requests for comment from ABC News.

In line with sources, the decision to stop cooperating occurred soon after the director of DPS, Col. Steven McCraw, held a information convention Friday during which he stated the delayed police entry into the classroom was "the wrong resolution" and contrary to protocol.

Reached by ABC News, a spokesperson for the Texas Division of Public Safety mentioned, "The Uvalde Police Division and Uvalde CISD Police have been cooperating with investigators.
