Wisconsin man celebrates 50 years of consuming Big Macs every day

MILWAUKEE (Spectrum News Milwaukee) - Don Gorske’s Huge Mac streak began on Could 17, 1972.

“I’ve only missed eight days in 50 years, which is phenomenal. And like I say, I count each Huge Mac. I’ve counted every Large Mac I’ve eaten my whole life,” Gorske stated.

Gorske eats two Large Macs a day.

“All by life here, a lot of people said, ‘You’ll be lifeless earlier than you attain 50 years of eating Huge Macs.’ I guess I proved them wrong,” he mentioned.

His son is not surprised at his father’s persistence.

“We always went to McDonald’s with my dad and had comfortable meals. I always liked my chicken nuggets, and my brother at all times cherished his hamburgers. It’s how we grew up. It’s just an everyday life sort of thing for us,” he mentioned.

Gorske’s son has more of a different eating regimen.

“I used to eat hen nuggets each day. I used to eat cheeseburgers every day, but ultimately you just get sick of it. I don’t know how he does it, but he definitely does,” he said.

Gorske says he will proceed consuming Big Macs with a Coca-Cola on the side until he dies.

“Quite a lot of occasions folks will say, ‘You appear to be I’m eating a Large Mac for the primary time,’” Gorske mentioned. “I suppose that’s how I feel sometimes. They’re that good to me, and there’s really nothing else I’d moderately eat,” he said.
