Teen arrested after mother noticed son had gun at Texas college drop-off

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD/Gray News) - Several businesses responded to a center faculty in Texas Friday morning after a teen’s mother seen he was carrying a gun.
Police in Lubbock tell KCBD a mom was dropping off her 15-year-old son at O.L. Slaton Center College round 9 a.m. when she noticed the firearm. The teenager never made it contained in the building, and he ran from the school.
The Lubbock Police Department responded to the world along with a number of different agencies in an try to search out him.
The teen was found close to the varsity’s campus and taken into custody.
Authorities stated the 15-year-old could possibly be facing a felony weapons cost.
Police say there was no threat made to the college or anyone inside the school.
O.L. Slaton Center College was briefly placed on lockout because of the incident.
