Pesce has been on restricted obligation till additional discover pending investigation outcomes as he faces charges for five traffic offenses.

Officers said his automobile brought about property harm in the area of Bruin Drive and Terrapin Lane about 10:30 p.m. He was charged with drunk driving, leaving the scene of an accident involving property harm, failing to report an accident, reckless driving and careless driving.

“There’s been several calls — and one other caller that saw you get out of the automobile and stroll to the back," the officer replies.

Pesce disputes that he had been driving, saying “No one was driving.”

He was promoted to chief in 2018, after 20 years with Bordentown police, following the resignation of disgraced former Bordentown Police Chief Frank Nucera.
