A US girl lately shared that her sister was charged $40 (nearly Rs 3,100) “for crying” at a health care provider's appointment.

Taking to Twitter, Camille Johnson, who is a well-liked YouTube and internet character, shared a picture of her sister's medical bill wherein she highlighted a segment of the bill that docked her sibling for a “transient emotional/behavioural assessment”. Within the following tweet, she explained that her sister has a “rare disease” and “received emotional because she feels annoyed and helpless” as she is struggled to search out care.

Since being shared, the photograph has gone viral with more than 486,000 likes and 1000's of feedback. Internet users shared their own experiences with overcharged medical bills, while others offered tips and recommendation on the way to negotiate hospital payments.

Ms Johnson revealed that the health care centre didn't evaluate her sister for melancholy or different psychological diseases. Her sibling didn't even talk to a specialist, was not referred to anybody nor was she prescribed anything. 

The 25-year-old said that thankfully her youthful sister was coated by her father's insurance coverage plan, which helped pay for the medical providers. Now, Ms Johnson hopes that sharing her sister's medical bill on-line will help change how the US healthcare system treats others.
