Drunk driver crashes, heads straight to dealership to try to promote damaged automotive with missing tire

EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Police say they arrested a driver who was 3.5 instances the authorized alcohol limit after at the very least five people referred to as 911.

Officers say the calls started coming in around 4:40 p.m. Monday.

They say witnesses reported seeing a SUV hit the median of the Lloyd Expressway close to the Predominant Avenue exit. They say the crash induced a flat tire and the car to smoke, but the driver saved going.

Other callers say the motive force was everywhere in the street and now lacking a entrance tire.

They are saying he eventually stopped at a automobile dealership and appeared “super drunk.”

Workers instructed police the driver, 30-year-old Jordon Mattingly, was making an attempt to sell his SUV.

Police say he had swelling and scratches as if he had simply been in a crash.

They say Mattingly smelled of alcohol and almost fell a number of times. Officers say he examined .291 on a portable breath test.

Police say inside his SUV, they found 4 Loko cans and a can of White Claw.

Mattingly is facing several prices.

He's the son of the manager for the Miami Marlins and former professional baseball participant, Don Mattingly.
