Afghanistan’s supreme leader and Taliban chief on Saturday ordered the nation’s women to put on the all-covering burqa in public - one of many harshest controls imposed on ladies’s lives since the Taliban seized energy.
“They should wear a chadori (head-to-toe burqa) as it is traditional and respectful,” said a decree issued by Hibatullah Akhundzada that was released by Taliban authorities at a perform in Kabul.
“Those women who are not too outdated or younger should cowl their face, besides the eyes, as per sharia directives, as a way to keep away from provocation when assembly men who should not mahram (grownup close male relations),” the decree stated.
It added that if women had no important work exterior it was “better they stay at house.”
During their first regime between 1996 and 2001, the Taliban imposed related restrictions on women.
