Two people have been arrested stemming from the assaults on the deputies, police said.

Those suspects had been recognized as Ayesha McGee and Tahira McGee, NBC affiliate of WCBD of Charleston reported, citing reviews from the Charleston County Sheriff’s Workplace. 

Ayesha McGee was charged with third-degree assault and battery and Tahira McGee with second-degree assault and battery and resisting arrest. 

Officers mentioned extra arrests are anticipated.

Officers stated South Street from Nassau Avenue to Drake Street and America Avenue from Reid Street to Mary Road in the space will remain closed to process the shooting scene.
